From My Window!
I had just finished shooting an all-day assignment after traveling from DC to Little Rock Arkansas. When I finally got to my hotel room, the thought of doing anything else other than eating something and sleeping was far from my mind. Then I looked out of my window. Wonderful sights to see with a sun ready to set on the horizon. Then the thought occurred to me to try and practice the assignment I gave my students for this week. The ten rules of composition. So, with the following photographs (this goes to my students); How many and which rules of composition can you find? (One word of disclaimer one my part, these where all taken from ONE vantage point)
The creation of this site began last spring for my digital photography class at Catholic University in Washington DC. Its purpose was to provide students a way to communicate through words and images. Each week during the semester I give my students assignments that relate to a certain aspect of photographic composition, technique and pure imagination. most find it a good way to practice their skills and for me a way to track my student's progress. However, they found as did I that keeping up with your blog on a regular basis is not as easy as it may seem. I try to instill in my students that practice and experience are the best teachers.
Enjoy and let me know if there is something you like!
